Meet the Dental Haven Staff

Currently Dental Haven has 7 front desk workers and 6 dental assistants. Each member of our helpful staff is eager to assist our patients and their parents as quickly and thoroughly as possible. Read on to find out more about the friendly people who will help you in our office.

FRONT DESK

Dawn will usually let our doctor know you're here. In the jungle, she'd want to be an owl to be able to turn her head all the way around and see what's going on. Flossing annoys her, but she does it to get the sugar bugs out from between teeth. A Bit O' Honey sticks to her teeth because it's sugary and gooey. When she eats it, she cleans her teeth as soon as she can.

Robin will usually schedule your next visit. Some days she wishes she were a tree frog because they have sticky toes like suction cups. She's so tired she doesn't like to brush her teeth before bed, but she does it because otherwise the sugar bugs eat away at her teeth overnight. Robin tries to drink less Strawberry Watermelon Kool-Aide because of sugar. When she drinks it, she rinses with water or brushes her teeth soon after.

Peggy works with a lot of our very young, new patients. As a Bengal tiger she would MEOW very loud! Flossing drives her crazy, but she does it because she knows it kicks those sugar bugs out. Once in a while, Peggy has some cotton candy, and then she rinses with water or brushes her teeth because cotton candy is all sugar.

Barb answers phones, schedules appointments, and works with all the orthodontic patients in the office. If she lived in the jungle, she'd love to be a toucan because they are colorful and have a big mouth. She would rather not floss, but does so twice a day because she knows it's so important. She likes all kinds of candy, but only eats it once in a while to avoid the sugar bugs that eat away at her teeth.

Jean manages our office. She would love to be a giraffe because they are tall, slim and graceful. She doesn't really like the mosquito bites before having sick teeth fixed, but she knows it helps keep the pain away while Doctor works. Jean makes sure she flosses because popcorn is a favorite treat. Those kernels can get stuck in your teeth and gums only to make trouble later.

Sondra helps out at the front desk. In the jungle, she'd be a little monkey because she could get into all sorts of mischief and no one would guess. Sondra really would rather not brush her tongue. But she does because it kills the stuff that makes your breath smell bad. She thinks Snickers are so yummy but full of sugar. So she rinses or brushes after to keep her teeth healthy.

ASSISTANTS

Jen is our head tickler of teeth. In the jungle, Jen would be a cheetah because they are fast and always on the go just like she is. She really despises rinsing with mouthwash, but she does it because she knows that it is good for her teeth, gums, and her breath. Jen likes the chewy appeal of Tootsie Rolls, but tries to stay away from them. When she eats them, she brushes as soon as possible to get the sticky sugar bugs off!

Stacey tickles your teeth. She would love to be a butterfly because they flutter around and make patients smile, just like she likes to do. Flossing drives her crazy, but she does it because it's so important. Stacey thinks sour gummy worms are the best! She definitely rinses or brushes as soon as she's done to get rid of the sugar bugs.

Leslie is another tooth-tickler. Leslie would be a lion because she has the heart of a lion. Wearing her retainers really bugs her, but she knows they keep her teeth in line. Leslie loves drinking soda, but she always rinses or brushes as soon as she's done to chase away the sugar bugs.

Megyn tickles teeth too. She would be a white tiger because they are very powerful and very mysterious. Megyn really doesn't like flossing, but she does it because it shoos away the sugar bugs. Sticky Starburst are her favorite treat that is bad for her teeth, so she brushes as soon as she can when she eats them.

Laurie also tickles your teeth. She'd love to see the world from upside down like a two-toed sloth does. Swishing with mouthwash kind of bugs her, but she does it to kill germs and to have fresh breath. Laffy Taffy is her favorite sweet, but she knows to rinse or brush--otherwise, she won't be laughing when her teeth get sick!
